Job Description
Job Summary Electric Motor Sales Representative
Promote sales of Toshiba and Leeson electric motors, related products and programs and new products where appropriate by marketing to current and potential customers throughout the branch territory.
Responsibilities:
Effectively create loyalty at the end user and contractor level through marketing of quality products and services.
Develop assigned account list and account plans for current and prospective customers within assigned territory.
Develop and implement action plans to obtain sales objective.
Prepare quotations using company provided software programs.
Provide accurate job tracking and forecasting.
Prepare and deliver customer presentations.
Influence specifications for electric motors and related products.
Utilize proper documentation for:
All Installation of equipment.
All project sales.
Plan and execute meetings for VARs.
Provide the necessary guidance to ensure products are installed per manufacturers recommendations.
Manage the preview and review of installation reviews.
Manage the documentation process for installation reviews.
Utilize all marketing programs to assist our delivery partners with advertising and support initiatives.
Adhere to company guidelines established for financial goals.
Utilize all marketing programs to obtain sales objectives.
Market products to end users, dealer accounts, OEMs and manufacturing markets.
Assist with the training of branch and dealer personnel on Toshiba and Leeson electric motors and related products.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent education or work related experience.
Five years experience in sales.
Working knowledge of electric motors, applications and services, a must.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge or experience related to mechanical/electrical principles.
Strong industrial knowledge of electric motors.
Superior interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Windows-based Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Current and valid driver license.
Ability to travel, which could require an overnight stay.
Productive and efficient work habits, without supervision.
